Student Bio: Joanna Mendoza is an undergraduate student at UCLA double majoring in Sociology & Education and Social Transformation. She’s passionate about educational equity, bilingualism, and the experiences of immigrant families. Through this fellowship, she aims to learn more about research in practice for her future career goals. Her other current extracurricular activities include being the Executive Coordinator of UCLA Cub Tours, volunteering with Latinas Guiding Latinas, and holding a work-study position with UCLA LOSH.
